"We feel that Diane truly listened to our needs, lifestyle and our tastes.  Her attention to detail is exemplary."

"When my husband and I first sat down with Diane to discuss our goals we agreed, we love our puppies, and we love to entertain."

"Diane not only finished the entire project with panache, she did so ON TIME, and ON BUDGET!"

"We took a leap of faith, purchasing furniture without sitting in it first, but Diane assured us of the quality and everything is incredibly comfortable and well made.

We are thrilled with the transormation of our living and dining rooms.  We feel that Diane truly listened to our needs, lifestyle and tastes.  Her attention to detail is exemplary.  Diane Kelley is very professional and followed through on every detail of the transformation.

The choice of fabrics, layout, design and furniture was beyond our expectations.  The new floor plan works so much better, and we now have many seating options.  Diane Kelley has an excellent eye and was able to bring together many details to create a warm and beautiful living environment.

Thank you again for all of your help and vision.  We love it!"

"She...created a WOW factor!!!"

"Diane Kelley, owner of DK interiors was first introducted to us as she designed the reception area for a new healthcare primary care office where I worked.  The design was done seven years ago and it is still fresh today.  Many patients use this area 5 days per week and it continues to look like new.

Later, Diane worked with us to select colors for our new home on one of Barrington's prestigious lakes.  Diane had the ability to capture the color of the shimmering water on our bedroom ceiling by using specific colors that reflected the water's many moods.  She also encouraged us to try a five layer faux paint technique in our family room that really coordinated with our furniture and other fabric selections and created a WOW factor!!!

When we built our retirement condo several years later, Diane was on site to recommend colors, tile and carpeting that were truly fabulous.  She has the unique ability to capture the color combinations that dress up a room.  She is now working on selecting materials, window treatments and helping us re-arrange furniture to pull the entire concept into one grand showcase!!!

A job well done!!!"

"Merging our two different households of furniture with totally different tastes proved a real challenge.  I like contemporary and my husband is a true traditionist.

Diane insisted on meeting with us both at the same time to be sure we were all on the same page.  When we first sat down to discuss our goals, we agreed, we love our puppies and we love to entertain. Agreeing on the same decorating style wasn't so easy, however, Diane found a way to use the pieces we each loved, together in a harmonious design scheme.

For the window treatments she selected traditional jewel tone geometric patterns, again appealing to us both.  Then, in the Living Room she created a custom curtain rod that was actually square.  It picked up on the square shapes in the pattern of the fabric.  Not only that, but the curtain rings were square too!  The look was powerful, very modern and so stunning, my husband loved it just as much as I did.

In selecting transitional furnishings to bridge the gaps, I felt like she was our own personal couples counselor.  She recommended classic designs that had clean lines, appealing to us both.

Two adults, set in our ways - it's hard to imagine we struck a happy balance we both love. Now our home has a heart that belongs to us both.  And our puppies. And our friends.  All is right in our world."

"We couldn't be happier with her work!"

Paul Ringuette

Portsmouth, NH

"We never used a professional Interior Designer before and we were initially hesitant in looking for outside thoughts and recommendations on important changes we wanted to make to our home.

When we first me Diane her enthusiasm and obvious experience was immediately apparent and her attention to detail and real knack of truly understanding our style preferences helped transform our house into a stylish, warm and comfortable home.

We couldn't be happier with her work!"

"After living on an island in Maine, it made sense for me to sell that home, with all of the furnishings intact.  On one hand, it was exhilarating to start with a blank slate.  However, it was also unsettling to try and figure out how to logistically create a new home when you had to start from scratch, without living nearby.

I decided that I needed to work with an interior designer that would share my passion of creating a home for a single woman whose children were grown, who didn't need to compromise with anyone, and who had a wonderfully spacious and charming restored home where furnishings, window treatments, art work, and funky artifacts would flourish.

Diane was recommended to me, and the first time we met, I knew I had made the best choice.  She is extraordinarily talented and I could sense that she would be smart, incisive and trustworthy.  I knew that there would be many mundane aspects of being my partner in this endeavor.  Waiting for furniture to be delivered, working in the cellar with the contractor to install a new fireplace, showing up with dozens of bags of "goodies" like towels or pillows so I could choose what I liked, and ultimately directing laborers when it came to re-doing bathrooms and painting would be thankless at times.  However, Diane not only finished the entire project with panache, she did so ON TIME, and ON BUDGET!

My home is spectacular ~ and I attribute my sense of pride, my comfort, the colorful array of fabrics, and the unique creativity to Diane's masterful eye and exquisite taste."

YEARS LATER...

Amy Sandler

Ormond Beach, FLA

"Based on my experience with Diane redecorating an old carriage house, I flew Diane to Florida to redesign my retirement home; a concrete block building built to withstand hurricanes, void of charm, but positioned on a fabulous tropical beach.

She worked closely with me on shopping trips to learn exactly what I wanted and  to be sure my selections all worked well together.  Diane transformed this shoebox into a sacred hideaway with functional, stylish upgrades that provide the epitome of comfort and beauty. She brought out a personal style in me that makes me look good.

Thank you Diane!"

"Diane was full of energy, creativity and resourcefulness."

Jill MacPherson

Lee, NH

"Diane was presented with the challenging task of blending a new addition into the existing family room, and then redecorating both rooms to make them feel as one large room.

Diane was full of energy, creativity and resourcefulness.  She understood what we wanted to do and very aptly guided the project.

Her ideas and wealth of information created a warm, inviting and fun new family room.  We expect to consult with her again for other projects."

"Working with Diane Kelley and DK interiors has been a wonderful experience!"

Sandi Hennequin and Steve Marchand, Portsmouth, NH

"When we moved into our house five years ago it had very outdated furnishings that did not match the age or character of the house.  We have methodically worked with Diane for the past three years to update and restore the charm of our house and make it a source of pride for us.

Some of the characteristics we have really appreciated about Diane is her willingness to work with us to set a long-term plan and budget, and to work within these parameters.  She is always sensitive to our budget and has found us some really high quality, yet inexpensive mirrors, pictures and other house "accessories."  She has found the best potential for our existing furnishings and hasn't tried to sell us all new furnishings or materials.

As a very busy family with two small children, a high maintenance pet, two busy careers and active public lives, Diane has always been flexible about working around our chaotic schedules and respecting our privacy.  Moreover, she is wonderful at adding little extra touches such as putting a big bow on our 3-year old's door before presenting our daughter with her newly redesigned "big girl" room.

At this point, there is not a room in our house that Diane has not touched and it shows in the classy, well-coordinated design of our house.

We are happy to recommend DK interiors' services to others and intend to tap into Diane's expertise for many years to come!"

"Forget what you may think about preconceived notions of the costs of an Interior Designer..."

David Risch, Esq.

Marion, MA

"I asked Diane to redecorate my kitchen, one bedroom and two of my bathrooms, with a caveat... I have a finite budget. Basically I am most Interior Designer's nightmare; I want maximum results with the least cost.

Wow.  Did she deliver. Not only was the kitchen transformed without new cabinets or appliances, it is beautiful and was incredibly cost-effective. (See Before and After's on her website.) Ditto for the downstairs bathroom.

The upstairs bathroom was a complete do-over and she consulted on design, color choices and purchases from the local home improvement stores and on-line resources.  What a transformation. Diane created a complete make-over for half the price of other estimates.

Forget what you may think about preconceived notions of the costs of an Interior Designer.  Diane's creative input resulted in cost-effective, beautiful rooms that far exceeded my expectations.

I have many more rooms to re-do and will be consulting with Diane every step of the way.  Thank you."
