Shaped padded Cornices with ball fringe, and tea-stained frog closures. Silk Panels with tassel borders and Sheer with fringe border and 288 hand-glued pearls per panel. Padded holdbacks in cornice fabric.
Note custom lamp on right was converted from an Antique Tea Pot. Crystal lid was repurposed into Lamp Shade finial.
Antique oil lamp is refurbished and glass shades were replaced with a deep slate blue color in keeping with the color scheme.

The Velour Zebra print Cornice is cut to echo the pattern. A Hobbled Roman Shade provides quiet contrast beneath.
A Cloud Valance provides the delicate balance over a lace cafe curtain tied back with Grosgrain Ribbon.

The painted Sisal Tiger print Cornices are a natural over the wooden Roman shades.

The tab topped, button accented header on these full length linen drapes are the perfect solution for a fun family that doesn't want to be taken too seriously.
The free-hanging Valance from the Bamboo Rod is just the way the Dragonfly's like it! A delicious contrast of finishes brings the formal silk down to earth, and the Coir wrapped wooden drop fringe marries them perfectly!
Rugged and Rustic
Raffia is the ideal finish for the cornices in this Country Family Room. The straps and buckles adorning the cornices, and the over-sized hammered bronze nailheads make the treatments feel like a set of comfortable old luggage. The natural woven roller shade pulls up comfortably underneath allowing the maximum of natural light.
Magic behind the curtain!
The illusion of space was created by over-sizing the window treatment above. This gave the window more importance, and the room more presence. The light Linen floral fabric was given additional weight with the Gingham check border and added contrast against the wall color. The berry applique on the cafe sheers ties the patterns together perfectly!

The intricate details that went into this project, affectionately known as George Washington's uniform, are fancy and fun. The black-lined jacket collar and striped lapels were expertly crafted. Later a gold chain was swagged across the brass buttons simulating a pocket watch. The Ascot gives the gentleman a dignified finish, and the gold braid and epaulets give a salute to the mililary. The silk shirt tucks into the inverted pleat Roman Shade with bottom cuffs to replicate his trousers. Yes, he can pull up his pants. We must always keep the fun in functional, however the use of stunning materials makes people take this treatment seriously!
Form and Function!
A double track traverse rod for the sheers allows an opaque drape behind them to be pulled independently for both complete privacy and insulation when desired. An expert workroom skillfully sizes the cozy corner.
